Graduates
of QCAP's FTHB workshops receive a certificate of completion and
may qualify for a variety of mortgage options and down payment assistance
available through QCAP, MassHousing and local municipalities, as
well as conventional lending sources.
QCAP
workshops are conducted in multiple sessions, for a total of nine
hours. Workshops are held monthly at locations throughout Norfolk
County. Advanced registration is required.

Down
Payment Assistance
QCAP offers 0% deferred loans of up to $10,000 for eligible first
time homebuyers in need of assistance for down payments and closing
costs.
To qualify for assistance, applicants must meet income guidelines
and complete a First Time
Home Buyer workshop.
Home
of Your Own Program
QCAP
is proud to partner with Citizen's Housing and Planning Association
(CHAPA) in the FHA's Home of Your Own Program (HOYO). HOYO is part
of a growing nationwide effort to increase the ability of disabled
individuals to take control of their living situations and housing.
As a HOYO counseling agency, QCAP verifies income eligibility for
program participants and provides assistance through the home buying
process.
Home
Equity Mortgage Conversion Program
Limited
income homeowners age 62 and up can convert their home equity into
cash to cover living expenses through a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage
(HECM). Through HECM, homeowners can opt to receive funds as a lump
sum distribution, monthly payments or both. QCAP housing staff are
available to provide counseling and information on reverse mortgages,
as well as explore financial options with homeowners, enabling them
to make an informed choice.
Lead Abatement Assistance
QCAP
seeks to make entry into home ownership more feasible by helping new
buyers access programs to improve the properties they can afford. QCAP has
been designated as a rehab agency in Norfolk County to assist
homeowners under MassHousing's Get The Lead Out program. This program
helps eligible homeowners abate the lead in their homes with a 0%
deferred payment loan of up to $20,000. Investor-owners may also
be eligible for similar loans at a low interest rate. For more information

their homes through foreclosure by providing individual mortgage

budget and credit counseling to teach clients how to manage their
budget an dhow to strengthen and improve their credit.
