Quincy Community Action Programs, Inc. (QCAP) is the leading private nonprofit organization in the Greater Quincy area dedicated to reducing poverty and helping low-income people achieve self-sufficiency. QCAP was incorporated in 1965 and is one of 24 Community Action Agencies in Massachusetts. QCAP serves nearly 20,000 unduplicated people annually. Our service area includes Quincy, Weymouth, Braintree, Milton, Hull and surrounding Norfolk County and South Shore Communities.
Claim tax credits and get your refunds faster through QCAP’s FREE Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for low-income families.
Services are by appointment only (Thursday evenings 6PM-9PM and Saturdays 10AM-4PM) and begin on January 28, 2012.

No matter what type of heating system you have, QCAP’s Fuel Assistance program can help you pay your winter heating bills. The program helps with heating costs for the months of November 2011 through April 2012.
New applicants may apply by calling QCAP’s Energy Program for an appointment. Returning customers will receive their application in the mail.
