COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS FOR
CHILDREN (CPC) (617) 479-8181
Service Area: Braintree and
Quincy
As the
lead agency for CPC in Quincy and Braintree, QCAP works with other
community stakeholders to improve the affordability, accessibility,
and quality of early care and education programs. CPC Councils in
each community serve as the planning and policy-making body for the
program and serve as the vehicle for assessing and responding to the
needs of young children and their families through information
sharing, program planning, implementation, coordination, and
evaluation. The program structure gives families and community
members with young children an opportunity to be involved in
developing policy and making decisions about programs that directly
impact their lives.
CPC services and activities include:
- Funds to subsidize the cost of early care and education in
existing community programs for eligible families with children
ages two years, nine months to five years old.
- Training and professional development opportunities for
early care and education providers including ongoing professional
support to help them become nationally accredited.
