Fair Housing Counseling

Housing should be available to all members of our community. Tenants and landlords need to know about their rights and responsibilities to avoid costly disputes and ensure successful tenancies. QCAP provides a number of Fair Housing Counseling Services including:

• Tenant workshops and individual counseling
• Information about lead paint laws and sanitation codes
• Mediation services to help resolve disputes
• Outreach to minority communities
• Budget and credit counseling
• Referrals to legal assistance
• Limited emergency rental assistance
• Eviction prevention

If you believe you have faced housing discrimination based on your race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, creed, political affiliation, ancestry, national origin, disability, veteran status, marital status, public assistance status or any other basis prohibited by law, contact QCAP's housing program.

Housing Search

QCAP's Housing Assistance Program (HAP) works with eligible families that are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless to help them find safe, permanent housing. Families receive housing search assistance, referral to resources, counseling and support services to maintain their tenancy after their crisis is resolved.
