QCAP's Housing Program plays a leading role in advocating for, developing and managing affordable housing for low and moderate income families and individuals in Quincy and Weymouth. In addition, as the most comprehensive housing program in the greater Quincy area, QCAP Housing offers a variety of assistance for first time homebuyers, homeowners, tenants, landlords, homeless and near homeless families to help secure and stabilize housing.

QCAP Hosts First Time Homebuyer Workshop

Quincy Community Action Programs (QCAP) is pleased to again host a comprehensive workshop designed for first time homebuyers.

QCAP’s next First Time Homebuyer Workshop will be held in 2 sessions: Thursday, September 27th in the evening from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 29th from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 1509 Hancock Street in the 4th floor conference room at the back of the building. The workshop will focus on all aspects of the homebuying process including information about various government loans and will have speakers including a mortgage lender, real estate broker, real estate attorney, home inspector and home insurance agent.  

 Attendees must attend the entirety of both classes in order to receive a certificate of attendance. The cost is $30 per person. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please do not register if you are not certain you can attend the entirety of both sessions as refunds cannot be processed after September 17, 2012.
