Free Tax Help 

Claim tax credits and get your refunds faster through QCAP's Free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for low to moderate-income households.

Services are by appointment only (Thursdays 3PM - 9PM and Saturdays 10AM - 4PM) and begin on January 26, 2017.

Answer all questions on the form. Save the form onto your computer, and e-mail the form to taxes@qcap.org

If you would like an intake form mailed to you, please call the Tax Line at 617-657-5345 and leave your full name, complete address, and phone number. A form will be mailed to you. When you receive the intake form, please complete it and mail it to the address:

Upon receipt of your form, we will contact you about your eligibility for our program.

Income limit: Your 2016 household income must be less than $55,000, or you qualified for QCAP fuel assistance this season. The income limit is per return, so couples filing joint returns must have a combined income of $55,000 or less.

Residency requirement: You must be a full-year resident of Massachusetts.

We are NOT able to address the following situations:

  • Tax returns for years prior to 2016
  • Tax returns for states other than Massachusetts
  • Active military personnel
  • Landlords, Rental Property, Investment Property
  • International students (students on VISA)
  • Business owners
  • Schedule K-1 income
  • If you had a loan modification, short sale, or foreclosure in 2016, then we will need to ask you more questions to determine your eligibility for the program
