MassSTEP (Skills – Training – Education Programs)

QCAP partners with Quincy College to offer MassSTEP programs in QuickBooks Basic Accounting with support from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The program is designed to help adults who are interested in accounting take their first steps toward a career in the field.

Students participate in a college-level, noncredit course taught by Quincy College, along with additional instruction and support from QCAP staff to help them understand and apply the course material.

The program prepares students to take the QuickBooks certification exam and earn a foundational credential that can support entry into accounting, bookkeeping, banking, and related fields.

QCAP staff also provide education and career advising to help students identify and work toward their long-term goals. Services include one-on-one career planning, résumé and CV workshops, mock interviews, and other support as needed.

Program Schedule

The program will be offered in fall 2026, beginning September 8 and ending December 17.

Classes will be held online on:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
6:00–9:00 p.m.

Participants must have basic computer skills and access to a computer with a camera and reliable internet service to participate in Zoom sessions.

Program Costs

Classes, textbooks, and other required course materials are provided at no cost to students.
