FOOD & NUTRITION
South West Community Center
NOW LOCATED at 18 Copeland Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
QCAP has been at the forefront of providing food and nutrition resources to area families for more than 50 years. QCAP’s Food & Nutrition Program provides food relief, helps families apply for SNAP, promotes nutrition awareness, and develops community support for hunger programs.
The newly expanded South West Community Center opened its doors in November 2022. More than a food pantry, the SWCC is a vibrant, welcoming place to gather for cooking and nutrition classes, menu-planning workshops, family engagement activities, community meetings, and more.
The only area food pantry open five days a week, year-round, with late hours to accommodate working families.

Helping Pets and Owners Stay Together
People often share their own limited food resources with their pets and sometimes feel that pet surrender is their only option.
The Southwest Community Food Center is partnering with The South Shore Food Pantry (SSPFP) to provide supplemental cat and dog food assistance to clients, with the goal of keeping pets and their owners together and healthy. Clients can receive dry and/or wet pet food at each appointment.
The pet food is provided by donations from individuals, corporations, and shelter overflow. To find out more about the SSPFP, and make a donation of cat or dog food, please visit the South Shore Pet Food Pantry’s web page for more information on drop spots, online wish lists, and volunteer opportunities: southshorepetfoodpantry.com
