Quincy Lead Abatement Program

Important Notice: due to the current COVID-19 public health emergency, all projects currently under contract with the Office of Healthy Homes are on hold until further notice.

Whether you’re a homeowner, tenant, or landlord, Quincy Office of Healthy Homes can help you reduce the dangers of lead and other hazards in your home with the Quincy Lead Abatement Program (QLAP).

QLAP provides up to $10,000 in assistance per unit, in the form of a 5-year forgivable loan including a $1,000 temporary relocation grant and the supports and resources you need to make your home lead safe.

Do you qualify?

If your home was built before 1978 and a child under 6-years-old lives or regularly stays there, and occupants’ incomes are within the HUD limit, you may be eligible.

Please view this flyer to learn more about the dangers of lead, QLAP and whether you may qualify, and typical improvements made to properties through this program.

How do you apply?

QCAP is helping to connect Quincy residents to the Quincy Office of Healthy Homes. If you are interested in learning more about QLAP and applying, please contact Mike Mattes at mmattes@qcap.org or call him at QCAP at 617-657-5395.
